Leaking valve stops O3 production

During Monday afternoon, production at Oskarshamn 3 (O3) will be stopped temporarily to replace a leaky valve in the turbine's intermediate overheating system.

During an inspection of the turbine plant following action by the feed water pump that triggered a partial quick stop on Thursday morning, a leaky valve was discovered in the turbine's intermediate overheating system. Due to this, a decision was made on Friday to maintain a reduced power, 740 MW, to ensure that the problem would not worsen. On Monday, a decision was made to temporarily stop production to fix the leaky valve and at 16:00 O3 will leave the electricity grid.

In connection with the planned card stop, other maintenance measures will also be implemented.
