2012-02-03: The operation at Unit Oskarshamn 1 (O1) was on Thursday 2 February resumed after a three-month long shut down for maintenance. In connection with the restart of the unit, the turbine needs to be balanced, which will entail several operational interruptions before the unit again can be operated at maximum power.

Press Release: Further Improvement Measures To Be Introduced on Oskarshamn 1

2012-01-11: After roughly more than two months standstill the problems with vibrations on the turbine equipment at Oskarshamn 1 (O1) seem to have been solved. The planned re-start will, however, be deferred for some time. This is due to verifying tests which have been performed during the standstill and which indicate the need for further improvement measures.

Press Release: OKG 2011 Output 15.5 Billion Kilowatt-Hours

2012-01-05: During 2011 OKG delivered 15.5 billion kilowatt-hours electricity. It is almost thirty per cent more than during the previous year, but still substantially less than the unprecedented record in 2004 of 17.5 billion kilowatt-hours. Nevertheless 2011 become the eighth best output year in the history of OKG.
