Press Release: Oskarshamn 3 has been restarted
|
2010-07-22: Oskarshamn 3 (O3) was synchronized to the grid again on Wednesday July 21. The reactor was taken off the power grid on July 13 due to a heavy thunderstorm. The output will however be limited for some time and will be on circa 75 per cent (760 MW), as a consequence of problems with the regulation in the turbine condensate system and the previously identified vibrations. With the purpose to attend to these problems, unit Oskarshamn 3 will be shut down for measures between the 4th and 12th of August.

Press Release: Last Stage of Oskarshamn 2 Modernization To Be Postponed

2010-07-02: OKG has today decided to postpone the last stage of the modernization of Oskarshamn 2 (O2). According to the original time schedule, the last phase, with among others a power uprate to 840 MW, should have been implemented during the yearly outage 2011. The reason for the postponement is that the mission has appeared to be more comprehensive and complex than earlier assessed.

Press Release: Plugged Sulphoric Acid Leak at OKG Water Plant

2010-05-27: During Thursday afternoon the Rescue Services plugged a minor hole in a pipe of a tank with sulphoric acid in a water plant of OKG. The sulphoric acid was collected in the container situated under the tank for this purpose and neither personnel nor the environment suffered any damages. An investigation has been initiated which will clarify why the leak could happen.

Press Release: Valve problems the cause behind extended operational interruption of reactor 3 in Oskarshamn
|
2010-03-01: After nearly two months of test operation of the modernized third reactor in Oskarshamn, a temporary operational interruption was performed in the middle of February. The date set for resuming the operation has now been postponed. The reason being that the delivered important valves controlling the turbine steam flow have faulty construction and require reconstruction. The new starting date for a few more weeks of test operation has now been preliminary set to March 22.

Press Release: Modernization of OKG’s reactors performed in 2009 provides a basis for future record high production
|
2010-01-19: The delays of the extensive modernization work that took place at OKG’s plant last year resulted in a reduction of the electricity supply with approximately forty per cent compared to 2008. To mention one example, the work conducted in order to increase the safety as well as the capacity at Oskarshamn 3 caused a downtime of nine months instead of the planned three months. However, the measures taken create good conditions for future record high production levels.
