Nuclear power is a way of making use of the energy that exists everywhere – in atoms or rather in atomic nucleuses. That is why it is called nuclear power.
Albert Einstein came up with the idea that it would be possible to utilize nuclear power based on the theory of relativity E = mc2. Later on, this possibility became a reality by splitting uranium-235, which releases energy. The energy released from splitting uranium-235 is used to boil water. This generates steam that drives a turbine. The turbine in turn drives a generator that produces a portion of the electricity that you use at home.
