Press Release: Yearly Maintenance Outage Starts on Oskarshamn 1

The yearly outage season at OKG is rather late this year with O1 being the first this coming weekend; during October-November the two other reactors will carry out their outages. The outage on O1 this year is a so-called long outage which is carried out every third year with more extensive measures. Apart from normal exchange of fuel and preventive maintenance a number of major work tasks are planned for implementation, such as a comprehensive test of the core shroud support and exchange of piping in cooling water systems.

 

The outage is planned to last during 37 days until 21 September. For information regarding possible alterations, please refer to the home page of the Nordic power market exchange, www.nordpool.com.
