Press Release: Oskarshamn 3 stopped due to thunderstorm
2010-07-14
Last night on Tuesday July 13, a thunderstorm caused disturbances to the Swedish power grid, which lead to that Oskarshamn 3 (unit O3) was stopped.
On July 13 at 17:33 unit O3 was taken of the power grid, due to a thunderstorm that caused disturbances to the grid between the city Alvesta and the peninsula Simpevarp. This lead to that unit O3’s generator was disconnected and the unit suffered a turbine trip. It is not yet established when unit O3 will be possible to restart, analyses are at present being performed.
For additional information regarding any changes, see the Nordic electricity market’s website, nordpool.com.
