Press Release: Scram at Oskarshamn 1

After a long and continuous operating period with good production figures a scram was initiated at unit Oskarshamn 1 on last Sunday evening. Troubleshooting was performed on Monday, investigating the cause of the scram at Oskarshamn 1. Further troubleshooting will be performed, and an operational interruption plan has been established regarding further maintenance work required. The market has been informed and the plan is to restart unit Oskarshamn 1 on Thursday, June 10.

 

Unit Oskarshamn 2 delivers electricity at maximum power. Unit Oskarshamn 3 is at present performing a trial operation programme (as a result of the major modernization work performed in 2009) with reduced power output.
 

Regarding any changes in the timetable for the scram at Oskarshamn 1, information will be provided at the Nordic Electricity Market’s website, nordpool.com.
