O3 back in operationPublished 2015-01-19 13:03
On Saturday afternoon, January 17, the world's largest boiling water reactor Oskarshamn 3 (O3) could after well conducted measures supply electricity to the Swedish power grid.
O3 have had problems with the regulation of a valve in the conventional turbine equipment, which has been the cause of the recent disruption. After well-implemented measures the restart of the plant could begin.
However, the time for synchronization, was postponed because of problems with the regulation of a feed water pump in the conventional turbine equipment. On Saturday afternoon, after troubleshooting and measures, the problem was solved and O3 was able to supply electricity to the Swedish power grid.
– The work with troubleshooting and measures has gone well and now we look forward to stable supplies during the rest of 2015, says Johan Dasht, Production Manager O3.
