OKG

New Managing Director of OKG Appointed

Pressrelease Monday, December 07, 2015

OKG's board of directors has today appointed the present production manager at unit Oskarshamn 3, Johan Dasht, new Managing Director of OKG as from 1 January, 2016. Johan Dasht succeeds Johan Svenningsson who after three and a half years as the managing director of OKG now will be the Country Chairman of the parent company Uniper in Sweden.

Johan Dasht takes up the post as MD of OKG in a challenging transition period. Based on the altered owner directives established this past autumn, the organisation faces a heavy task in transforming the activities.

– Nevertheless, I am convinced that we in a safe and efficient manner will secure long-term profitability for unit O3 as well as implement the decision to shut down units O1 and O2, Johan Dasht comments. One of my main missions will be to establish clarity and unanimity concerning how we together shall face the future with OKG in a state of continuous transformation.

Johan Dasht has been employed at OKG since 2005 and has been a member of the corporate management since 2011, initially as manager of the engineering department and since two years as the production manager of unit O3.

– I am very pleased with the choice made appointing Johan Dasht the new MD of OKG, says the present MD, Johan Svenningsson. He is a strong leader with experience from different roles within the company and he has the best qualities required to develop further OKG. This internal appointment also guarantees the necessary continuity in the organisation's work with continuous improvement. Naturally, in my new role as country chairman of Uniper in Sweden I will offer my full support to Johan and the entire OKG organisation in the pursuit of running the activities in accordance with the highest international standard.
