Unit Oskarshamn 1 Resumes Operation after Tremendous Work Performed during the Temporary Shutdown

Pressrelease Monday, December 12, 2016

On Saturday 10 December, the delivery of climate efficient electricity to the Swedish grid was resumed at unit Oskarshamn 1 (O1) following the successful measures taken during a few days of operational interruption.

Unit O1 is in operation again after a few days of operational interruption due to an oil leak in the conventional turbine equipment, remedied during the shutdown.

– All personnel involved joined forces and did an amazing job despite scarce resources due to the concurrent operational interruption at unit O3, says Mikael Wramsjö, production manager at unit O1.

Unit Oskarshamn 1 was restarted on Saturday 10 December and is again producing electricity at maximum power.
